Here's a brief look at just some of the recent projects & school improvements we've supported with funding and time ...
Library
In xxxx parents raised money for a library upgrade. In February half term armed with our paint rollers we took on the challenge of refreshing the older key stage 2 library space, we ordered some new furniture and added a nautical theme (complete with a boat seat)
Sensory room
In February (2024) half term we set about transforming the KS1 sensory room. We were fortunate enough to get the paint donated by Brewers Decorating Centre, Hove
12 days of Christmas
In December 2022 and 2023 we arranged 12 days of Christmas treats for the children. Treats include craft boxes, chocolate treats, a pantomime visit, film afternoon, playground resources, books and visit/gift from The Big Man himself
Year 6 leavers
Year 6 leavers have a trip to Chessington in their last few weeks at Eastbrook and Friends of Eastbrook fund the coach for this trip.
EYFS area
In 2023/24 Friends of Eastbrook bought 2 new large rugs for the EYFS classrooms and decorated a book nook outside their classroom
Owl and raptor visit
In the Summer term of 2024 we arranged a visit from the owl and raptor centre. All children attended special assemblies where they had birds flying through the hall
Playground markings
In 2022/23 we spent a Saturday jet washing the playgrounds to bring old markings to life again ahead of having some new markings added to the 3 different playground areas.
